True Crime Stories

I know it has been several days since I posted but in that time I have researched more than a dozen cases to put together. I had a bit of a busy week. I can multi-task when I am researching a case but when it comes time to put the case together I like to first be in a quiet room but secondly do it all at once. Having too many things on my mind at one time will often cause to confusion when I am writing so I try to avoid that. With that being said I home to publish all, if not most of these in the next few days. As a true crime “addict” I always attempt to obviously find cases that interests me. What that interest may be can change sometimes from hour to hour. Today I may be interested in cases that took several years to solve, but tomorrow I may be interested in cases like neighbor disputes. This is one of those cases that leave you wondering how this person got away with all that he had done and how he had treated people for so long. I know the statistics say that abused women do not report it often and stay way longer than they should and I get that, but there is no way that there were not plenty of others that knew what was going on, through two marriages, with children that did not report things. To add to this two women were able to get away from him but it seems that neither would break off ties enough to at the very least keep themselves safe. Sure, Betty Windsor even went out and got a restraining order against her estranged husband but she voluntarily broke it herself and went to his home. I have been doing this blog for nearly four years now and was a bit surprised to discover this is not a case that I had researched and discussed before.  Then again there are many crimes that I know quite a bit about (maybe that is why I could be considered a Death Hag) that I have not taken the time to sit and blog about.  As a true fanatic there are just certain crimes we know.  Many of them are the same ones... we know about John Wayne Gacy, Ed Gein, The Boston Strangler... just to name a few.  John List is one of those cases for me.  I gander to guess that I have not sat down to compile this one because there is so much out on the Internet that is accessible and for me personally since I know the case pretty well (although research lets me narrow down dates, names and places) it is unlike the ones that I research and learn more as I go along.  I mistakenly believe that because I know just about all there is to know about the case, then doesn't every els...

I am uncertain that I have done any blog here that I have done more searching of correctional institutes for inmate searches or even searched more individuals involved in a case.  I have seen this case profiled on many true crime shows including Snapped and others and knew most of the story but I did not know just all of the controversy surrounding the case and the players.   On October 25, 2000 the bodies of Andrew Cataldi and Tricia Nordman were found in a dumpster in downtown Indianapolis.  They could not be ID'd so the police and media decided to release pictures of tattoos belonging to the victims. This is when a woman who lived only a few blocks from the discovery identified them as people who lived with her neighbors, Richard Hull and Sarah Jo Pender. Richard Hull was a bouncer at a local bar and had an extensive criminal record.
