H. H. Holmes
Several months ago I thought it would be a good idea to research a bunch of cases and put my notes in a folder to go through and compose later. It did not take long to realize that was not the greatest of ideas. I generally research a case and then compile it together here while it is still fresh in my mind. Today I decided to go through that stack and see what was in there. To my surprise there were a few in there that at some point I apparently did the research again and published them. There were a few others that I was surprised that I had not done that with... this is one of them. If you are really a true crime enthusiast then you likely know about H.H. Holmes. Some say he started it all, while most agree that while he is not truly the "First American Serial Killer" as some claim, he is one of the first, especially in the modern era.
