The Case of Alice Crimmins
While doing my research on this case I often saw references to the modern cases of Susan Smith and Casey Anthony. Truthfully however, I saw few similarities in those cases when it came to this one. In the Susan Smith case the only real similarity is that two children died. As we know the theory in her case was based on the fact that she "got rid" of her children for a man who was not interested in having children. There was never any such proof to this when it came to the Alice Crimmins case. When it comes to the Anthony case one could attempt to argue that the behavior of Alice Crimmins following the deaths of her children was similar to Casey Anthony's behavior but again, the similarities end there, not to mention that Casey Anthony was acquitted in the death of her child while Alice Crimmins was found guilty, despite in my opinion, having less evidence than I believe the Anthony case had.
